9 Months in Sri Lanka

Many surprises awaited me in Sri Lanka. A 6-month visa extended to a 9-month visa gifting me opportunities for new friendships, experience, and growth.

This video shows a dog living their best life on a beach in southern Sri Lanka. There are 3 million plus dogs who live on the streets in Sri Lanka.

LaLa on the left and Flo on the right were gifted a home in the mountains of Italy. LaLa was living on the streets and Flo had been living in a shelter for 6 years. They both had a say in their adoption. It is important that any animals I help move to a new home, wish to be relocated.

When studying for my certifications in animal and nature communication people brought dogs with behavioral issues to class that were adopted out of their home country. I noticed all of those dogs had one thing in common. The dogs shared they would have rather stayed in their home country.

Padma and Indira of Tikiri Trust in Kandy Sri Lanka, lovingly helped LaLa and Flo, process requirements needed to move abroad. Please consider donating to Tikiri Trust. You can find Tikiri Trust easily on Facebook.

From Colombo to Galle I visited sea turtle rescues, meeting 2 day-old turtles to turtles over 100 years old.

Some turtles have a home for life if they are injured, and not able to hunt for food, while others are waiting for the opportunity to be released back to the sea.

Rowan who is pictured above runs Sea Turtle Hatchery & Rescue Center which is located where his family home once was. In 2004 Rowan ran an errand for his parents and while he was away a tsunami consumed his family and home. Rowan shared his father believed in conserving nature and Rowan runs the rescue center in his honor. December 26, 2024, marks the 20th anniversary of this day.

Visitors are charged a small fee to enter the rescues and encouraged to donate money so more tanks can be built.

Elephant Sunrise Also Known As Ravee

Spring 2021 A temple elephant in Sri Lanka reached out to have a conversation with me – think of telepathic communication like talking with a friend on a mobile. We chatted about his well-being and mine. He asked if I would refer to him as Sunrise.

Sunrise helped support several animal and nature communication programs I’ve taught. He’s become a great friend.

January 2024 I was able to hang out with Sunrise in the physical. This video is from that great day!

Anuradhapura is a World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved ancient ruins. These 3 stupas align with the Orion Belt just like the Pyramids of Giza are. I was excited to visit this place and nearby Wilpattu National Park where I got to see and talk with a male elephant bathing in a lake.

The following two pictures and video are at an ancient Royal Park in Anuradapura. Notice the elephant art relief.

A highlight of my time in Sri Lanka was sharing animal communication with a village near Anuradhapura. We dialogued with two elephants in Nepal, a dog in Switzerland, and a dog near Colombo Sri Lanka.
